Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds is the home to the UK's national collection of arms and armour and it's free to visit! Explore the galleries and objects and discover how the arms and armour have shaped societ, art, and culture throughout history.
At the museum there are five galleries in total and there are over 4,500 objects on display. You can watch the historic armour and weapons brought to life as the interpretation team use live combat demonstrations to show you how they were used.
You can enjoy a virtual 3D tour of the museum with highlighted objects, wherever you are.
See Henry VIII's foot combat armour made in 1520 for the grand tournament and see the largest animal armour in the world. It's an elephant armour and tusk swords from the Indian sub-continent.
