RHS Garden Harlow Carr is just a short distance from Harrogate town centre and this beautiful garden makes a great family day out. There's something to do throughout all seasons!
The park sits in the stunning Yorkshire countryside and offers a variety of growing landscapes, from running and still water, to woodland and wildflower meadows. The main borders are bursting with plants and colourful flowers.
The kitchen garden is packed with a mix of ornamentals and edibles, and includes local varieties of fruit and vegetables, as well and some unusual plants too! Get lost in the tranquil woodsland, with plenty of winding paths, allowing visitors to enjoy the diverse horticulture. Young visitors can head to the Logness Monster and Craggle Top Tree House, featuring natural play features too.
There is a sub-tropicanan garden that will transport you from Yorkshire to the tropics. It's a tropical paradise that's bursting with bold foliage and eye-popping colours.
Take a walk around the Queen Mother's Lake which is a haven for wildlife, plantings and trees. You'll see ducks, dragonflys and moorhens, and then there's something new here during every season.
