Gorse Hill City Farm is a family friendly community working farm with hundreds of animals to see and explore and they loved to be fed too! It's a great family day out in the heart of Leicester.
On your visit there are hundreds of animals to see! There are a variety of rare breed and native sheep, middle white pigs and a variety of goats including Pygmy goats too!
There are the resident donkeys who love grazing and playing the fields, ponies, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks and lambs plus many more.
The best way to get close to the animals is to feed them! You can purchase feed for just £1.00 per bag. You can also book a meet the small animal session and you'll meet and learn about the smaller residents on the farm.
The sessions give you the chance to get up close to them and learn about their characteristics and well as how they're cared for to keep them happy and healthy. The sessions last for about 20 minutes too.
You'll also find an outdoor play area complete with swings, slides and climbing frames, plus lots of picnic benches dotted around too!
Based next door to the English Martyrs Catholic School on Anstey Lane, and there is some parking available at the top of the road.
