Staunton Harold Reservoir is a countryside space with wildflower meadows, woodlands walks and open water. The man-made reservoir plays an important part in the water supply network, and an important habitat for the wildlife.
On your visit you'll see the tower windmill, built in 1798, as well as a variety of walks through wildflower meadows across fields and historic parklands. The site 210 acres in total and there's opportunities for some water sports as well!
Print off an activity sheet from their website and go on a quest to find all the eight brass rubbings on-site. The waymarked walks are all around the site, and you can connect with nature or burn off some energy in the playground with swings and slides!
There are open water ponds that are a haven for wildlife, and plenty of walks for all abilities. Enjoy the views of reservoir, meadows even try the orienteering trail too.
There's lots of activities on the water from sailing to paddleboarding and even fishing. They're suitable for all ages and abilities and it's a great chance to try something new!
