About this activity

Charnwood Forest Alpacas is a host of animal fun, where the family can explore 110 acres of animal fun including alpaca walks! In fact, Charnwood Forest Alpacas are one of the first, original and largest alpaca farms open to the public in the whole of the UK!

Charnwood Forest Alpacas is located in Boundary, and its here you will find a team of animal lovers who are passionate about sharing the wonderful personalities of not just their alpacas, but all of the animals at the farm including donkeys and horses!

One of the main activities you can enjoy at Charnwood Forest Alpacas is the 90-minute Alpaca walking, which is great for those wanting to try an activity of a different kind. It's worth noting that walks aren't suitable for those under 4 years, and possibly 6 years due to the nature of some rough terrain, but those who do enjoy it can enjoy that time with these beautiful animals, away from the hectic hustle and bustle of urban life!

The alpaca walks begin with a health and safety briefing along with some alpaca facts, so you know you're all safe and comfortable with the animals. Then, you'll be shown how to lead your alpaca.

Once you have been partnered up with your friendly alpaca buddy, your trekking adventure will begin with plenty of time for alpaca selfies!

With animals, afternoon tea and even wood fired pizza all awaiting you after your walk, Charnwood Forest Alpacas is a fun and unusual family day out you won't forget!
