The George Marshall Medical Museum is a small and free museum situated on the site of the Worcestershire Royal Hospital. The museum exhibits some of George Marshall's collection of objects that illustrate the way that medicine has developed over the past 250 years!
At the museum you'll see the gory collection of death masks of handged criminals, reconstructed apothecary shop and a Victorian operating theatre!
You'll also be able to see one of the operating chairs used before anaesthetics were created! Try to see if you spot the holes as they used to tie down patients!
You'll also be able to have an audio guide to take you all around the museums, with interesting facts along the way. Or you can opt for a self-guided tour as there's interactive computers around the museum where you can test your knowlede. There's a mystery object game where you'll be able to listen to pass medical staff speaking too.
There's also lots of temporary exhibitions too, so make sure you check out the website before you visit so you know what's happening when and where!
The museum can be a little spooky and gory, so make sure you think carefully about visiting if you have young children!
As soon as you are on the Newtown Road, you must follow signs for the hospital, and once on the hospital site, follow signs for the Charles Hastings Education Centre and Medical Museum
