About this activity

Did you know that in Stratford Armouries Museum, a world-class collection of arms and armour from various cultures around the globe awaits?

Pretty amazing!

Located only a couple of minutes from Shakepeare's Birthplace, Stratford Armouries Museum is a really unique museum (complete with visitor centre) all set in 86 acres of rolling Warwickshire countryside!

The galleries within the museum are home to a range of world-class exhibits that will amaze the whole family!

Kids can come face to face with two lifesize armoured horses, as well as the world's OLDEST Breech Loading Canon!

You can see up close Leonardo da Vinci's actual giant crossbow, as well as Lawrence of Arabia's Jade Dagger! Amazing!

Of course, you're in Stratford upon Avon so you can also see amazing artifacts from Shakepeare's Birthplace!

Not only that, Stratford Armouries Museum houses a fascinating array of exhibits, including the chance for kids to learn that armour was produced as a work of art just as much as an item of war.

Stratford Armouries Museum also offers a large themed play barn for younger visitors, with adjoining outdoor fort!
