Wyre Forest Discovery Centre is set in Wyre Forest which is the largest woodland National Nature Reserve in the Country! There are a variety of ways to explore the forest that will provide great fun for the the whole family.
There are lots of activities for all ages too. Head to the children's play area to burn off some energy and watch them have fun running around the various play frames! There's also a Gruffalo Orienteering family map reading challenge. Using a simple map, you'll need to try and find twelve Gruffalo markers hidden in the deep forest. Pick up the map from the centre and try and beat the clock if you want to be competitive!
The family mountain bike trail follows wide paths and forest roads and is a great place to explore the forest. Keep your eyes peeled for the 35 species of butterflies found in the forrest and is around 4.7 miles in total. If you prefer to explore on foot, there's lots of marked trails to explore for all levels of ability.
You'll also find Go Ape too! It's the ultimate tree top experience full of wobbly bridges, crossings and a zip wire finale. It's incredibly safe and the staff will be on hand to help you if you need it. You'll need to book directly on their website for your timeslot and charges are additional, but it's a great experience the whole family, school groups and birthday parties too!
Wyre is located at Callow Hill 3 miles west of Bewdley on the A456. The site is well sign-posted.

The forest cafe is open daily and has lots of tasty snacks and refreshments.
They have fantastic learning opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.
Accessible toilets and an option to hire their Tramper/Mobility Scooter if needed
