Lickey Hills Country Park is a stunning nature reserve located in Worcestershire, England, just 10 miles south of Birmingham. The park covers over 524 acres of rolling hills, woodland, and meadows, offering visitors a picturesque and serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The park is alot more than just a park, it has a complex geology which hosts many diffrent habitats for all types of wildlife, this would be amazing for school trips, picnics, or even just a quite stroll with your family. This amazing landmark has been a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, offering something for most types of people, this beautiful park was even given a green flag award.

One of the most notable features of the park is its network of walking trails, which have diffrent difficulty levels, for example you could go on a nice short walk while enjoying the view, or you could challenge yourself for a difficult trek on some harder terrain, or if youd like something a bit more simple you could go on one of the circular walk routes, which take you around the park letting you take in the beautiful scenery. If you want something a little less taxing on your legs you could go to their 18 hole golf course.

There is a beautiful hill named the beacon hill, which is their most famous viewpoint as its almost 300m tall, from up there you can see so much. its like your on top of the world, you can see things so far in the distance, for example you can see dudley castle from up there and even the black mountains.

In addition to its walking trails, the park also boasts an excellent children’s play area, which is perfect for families with young children. The play area features swings, slides, climbing frames, and other fun and engaging equipment, as well as a sandpit and a water play area. There are also plenty of picnic tables nearby, making it easy to enjoy a family picnic while the kids play.

This park is also extremly child friendly, making sure no one feels left out, they have  children adventure playground, a tri-golf course, which is a mini version of golf which is meant for children, there are also lots of open areas which can be used for kite flying, and if you didnt bring a kite, dont worry! You can borrow one from the visitor centre.

They host a lot of wildlife keeping them safe, and they try to host as many plants and creatures they can and keep them as safe as possible.

Yes there is baby changing facilities.

There is a café that serves light snacks but not full meals, also they only accept cash at the moment. Most people should bring a picnic lunch if their planning to go for a long amount of time.

Check out beacon hill, it has the best views in the entire park and makes you feel on top of the world.

The rangers of the park can lead you on a curriculum led school trip or you can organise a ranger visit tailored to the teachers wishes.

Unfortunately people who are mobility impaired may struggle due to the rough terrain, and hills which would be difficult to navigate.
