Eastnor Castle is a fairytale Georgian castle in Herefordshire and is located at the foot of the Malvern Hills. The castle ie surrounded by a deer park, arboretum and is the home of the Hervey-Bathurs family.
The castle is a 19th century revival castle and is a grade one listed building. You'll be able to explore the state rooms including the Great Hall, State Dining Room, Gothic Drawing Room and lots of bedrooms. There are friendly guides in all of the rooms that offer information and history to tell you. It'll take around one hour to walk around the castle in total and look out at the amazing views.
Once you've done visiting the castle then heading out and exploring the grounds is a must. The Arboretum is filled with exotic trees that were planted in the 19th century and some were even imported from all over the world. The Eastnor Tree Trail is a walking trail of around 24 of the most important trees and each is numbered, so you can start at any point!
There's also the tree hunters trek where you can see how today was shaped by a group of Victorian explorers who travelled the world and has lots of information boards to read. So you can be your own tree hunter! The castle lake is also an important part of the landscape and is a great spot for some wildlife watching.
For the kids, there's a junior obstacle course, adventure playground, tree top walkway, rope-swing route, zip wires and so much more so they'll have a great fun day out!
Don't forget to take a trip to Eastnor Deep Park too! It's a 300 acred park sitting across from the castle and is where a herd of Red Deer graze too!
Eastnor lies between the Cotswolds and the Welsh Marches. The Castle is 2½ miles east of Ledbury on the A438 Tewkesbury road.

Eastnor Castle offers pre-booked tours of the castle with their experienced guides.
Blue Badge holders can park in the Accessible Parking bays in the main visitor car park. Access to the first-floor bedrooms is via a Vertical Platform Lift.
