Fowlmead Country Park otherwise known as Betteshangar country park has lots of outdoor activities and workshops for the whole family to get involved in. So if you want to try something new, now is your chance!

The park is set in 250 acres and on a landscaped coal mile spoil heap, with leisure paths, woodlands and wetlands that are full of wildlife. 

There are lots of drop in activities too, so you can decide what you want to do on the day if you like! There is target archery which is suitable for ages seven and over and geocaching where you'll use your mobile device to navigate around the park, finding clues along the way. 

The park is bursting with fossils. Use brick hammers to reveal the hidden fossil and learn what ype of rocks are in the quarry. Get Master is a new combat game for ages five and over and you'll use the battery powered pistoles that shoot water soluble pellets, see who can come out at the champion! 

You'll also find battleplasters which is like paintballing, just without the mess and battlezone archery too! Whether you want to try something new, or want to improve on your skills, there's lots of activities. 

You'll be able to enjoy miles of cycling, bike trails and there's a play park too! Build dens, dig for fossils or find the hidden treasure.
