Dover Transport Museum is the only museum of its kind in Kent and is home to many forms of vintage transport that will be familiar to both young and older visitors! There's also a large model railway too which makes it a great family day out.
There are two large exhibition halls which have been created to show the street scenes of old Dover businesses. The transport collection is just one of the exhibitions that illustrate what life was like over 100 years ago.
The main attractions include historic veichles, vintage garden and motorcycle shops, ferry and train memorabilia, model railways, model cars and a romany life display, plus lots more! There are models and historical items from all decades which make it a great educational and fun moment to look back in history.
The museum also hosts a number of events too! They have classic car shows, morris minor days, model weekends and classic motorcyle shows, plus lots more. Make sure to check out the website before you visit so you know what's happening.
