East Kent Railway has something for everyone with an award-winning visitor centre, woodland walks and heritage trains for the whole family to enjoy. It's a great day out for the young and old with plenty to do!

The industrial line serves Kent Coalfield, and is a four mile round trip that takes you on a scenic journey between the villages of Shepherdswell and Eythorne. You'll enjoy the rolling countryside, chalk-lined cuttings and the Golgotha Tunnel on your journey.

The visitor centre is at Shepherdswell and you'll discover photos, station benches and info boards detailing the history of the railway from its formation to its closure.You'll also find a painting showing the lines as it was too and a model of the last station on the mainline, so make sure you pay the centre a visit!

The minature railway is also a great attration and it'll be the first thing you see when you arrive at the railway. You can also head to the Knees Woodland which has lots of woodland walks which lead off from the car park. There's also special events throughout the year, so make sure to check out the website before you visit so you know what's happening.

Just off of the A2 between Dover and Canterbury in Shepherdswell. Mainline trains stop hourly from Dover and the Medway Towns, to make the site very accessible by public transport.
