Rare Breeds Centre in Kent is approved by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust and is working to secure the future of rare and native breeds. There are a variety of dispays and animals that you can learn all about and get up close to!
From turkeys to ducks, goats, pigs, sheep, horses, birds and more, there's a variety of different species here. There's also a variety of birds of prey too for you to enjoy including owls, hawks and falcons. During your visit you can see them static or at a flying display.
During the display they fly lots around the arena to demonstrate their styles and hunting strategies and shows start at 2:30pm, do don't miss it!
As well as the animals, they have a discovery garden which is a tranquil spot! You can find birds, bees, squirrels and more, as well as lots of structures and ponds to enjoy nature and encourage gardening and conservation too.
There are plenty of play parks too! There is a playpen filled with swings, slides and climbing frames and a tube maze and assault course too which is great for the older children.
In the children's barn you can enjoy and meet the cuddly rabbits, chicks and hamsters and stroke and have a cuddle. You may even see a piglet running around too!
The Rare Breeds Centre is situated near Ashford, about fifteen minutes from Junction 10 of the M20 between Hamstreet and Woodchurch village on the B2067.
