Finsbury Park was opened in 1869 and was designed and laid by Alexander McKenzie. More recently, it was refurbished and has turned into a beautiful space to relax and has seen many international music acts play to large audiences.
The park is 46 hectares in total and is a mid urban park with formal entrance gates and lots of open spaces. There are surving paths that cross the parks and is diving into zones. There are horticultural features, lakes, recreational facilities and sporting features too!
At the park there is a boating lake where you can hire out some water equipment and lots of sports amenities! From basketball to netball, outdoor gym, tennis courts and a track and gym, if you want to try out a new sport or get active this is the play to be!
There are also playgrounds that the kids can run, jump and climb through and a zip wire where you can zoom from one side to the other! There's also a skatepark too, so bring your skateboard!
You'll find a cafe and plenty picnic areas where you can sit back and relax and enjoy the sunshine too.
