We went today, my 10 year old is in love and has asked, at least three times, if we could move closer. That alone gets a big thumbs up. My parents are in, from out of town, and we drove quite a ways for something fun to do and he really enjoyed himself and it was good bonding time for relatives we don't see as often as we'd like.

It wasn't very crowded, but I'm sure that's because high season is over. The downside? Algal growth all over the bottom and sides of the pool making it slippery, broken chairs and lounges everywhere. Swim up bar closed....Read More

We went today for the first time and thought this water park was just perfect for our 5 year old and 2 year old boys. The 5 year old did the tall chute and tube slides, Flash Flood and Roadrunner, over and over. He just loved it. He did the sidewinder only once as the angle of the drop scared him. He loved the Gator's Crossing rope balancing area. He was not tall enough to ride the tube slide, Texas Twister.
The 2 year old loved just floating around in the Gator Crossing and Lazy Lagoon pools. The pirate ship has 2 slides and a tube to crawl...Read More

Food bland, out of everything, found rock pebbles in food, and how the heck do you mess up bacon? WAY over priced! Don't waste your time if you're coming on a date night. Staff is nice when you see them. 10 tables 1 waiter, girl behind bar sitting on butt while other guy helps everyone. Never ever ever ever again..

For those of you waiting in line at the Oasis; you're on the wrong side of the lake!! It's a short drive around to Volente where you will find amazing food and a staff that is ready to provide incredible service. Ignore the review about the owner being grouchy. We've all had a bad day every once in a while. The owner is a terrific guy who just wants to satisfy every customer as best as possible. The water park is really cool and it uses water from the lake so it's all natural. The best part for us is the food. Restaurants downtown Austin...Read More

After visiting the restaurant I felt the need to write a review on how excellent the food and service was. My family and I have lived in the Austin area for over 8 years and we have visited many places on the lake. We have yet to find a restaurant with such amazing food and great customer services as the Shore Club Restaurant. I could not speak more highly of this place. We got the BBQ wrapped shrimp as an appetizer and it was to die for. It was as if they caught the shrimp fresh that day. Then I personally got the steak and let me tell you what...it...Read More

It wasn't very crowded, but I'm sure that's because high season is over. The downside? Algal growth all over the bottom and sides of the pool making it slippery, broken chairs and lounges everywhere. Swim up bar closed. Poolside bar closed. You have to hike up to the main building, which is quite a ways to haul for a drink or snack/meal. The food was ok, a little overpriced, but tasty enough.

If the bars are closed because high season is over, cool, but then the prices should reflect the reduced services available. We felt it was pretty expensive to get in and would have appreciated being able to have poolside service to help justify the ticket prices.

The 2 year old loved just floating around in the Gator Crossing and Lazy Lagoon pools. The pirate ship has 2 slides and a tube to crawl through. He loved it. The 5 year old loved the pirate ship too (even though he was technically too tall to be in that area).
I loved the fact that there was a lot of shaded picnic table areas to set our cooler and belongings. I thought it was awesome that we could bring in our own food and drinks. The parking lot also had a lot of shaded areas so our car wasn't blazing when we left to go home. We stayed for 4 hours, but the kids would have loved to have stayed much longer.
We got our tickets that morning from Randalls. So, instead of paying $21 each, we paid $16 each. The 2 year old was free.

A new thing this year is the membership. It's an amazing deal if you want to visit at least once a month. Since it includes 4 season passes to the water park, you can't go wrong if you have kids. The views of the lake are fantastic. Never a wait for a table. Great sunsets, too. The Oasis is overpriced and too crowded to enjoy. At least come try it once. You'll be back.

Then I personally got the steak and let me tell you what...it literally melted in my mouth and was about two or three inches thick. Plenty to fill me up. I've been to Ruth's Chris, Perry's, Gumbos and although those places are great, I feel like the steak here at the Shore Club was so much better! It was tender, cooked perfectly (just the way I liked it), didn't have too much seasoning. It was just the perfect amount of elegant taste! LOVED IT! I also have a few drinks, I think one was called the "Blue Margarita"! Yummy!

The service was great. Plenty of people on staff to see that our needs were attended to and was always graciously taking our plates and cleaning up to make sure the table looked nice. She asked us on a few occasions if we needed anything and for that she got a great TIP!

I know this is a lot to write for a review, but I really think this place should get the attention it deserves! EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!
