Wonderful grass and some cool trails bordering. Many cool events to attend here, but I enjoy it most on a normal day when there’s lots of open space to walk around and watch people playing soccer or with their dogs.

Zilker park is in may ways the heart of the outdoors-y time in Austin. Big lawns, hillside theaters, kayaks, canoes, Barton Springs. You name it, it’s probably at the park. It’s a great place to go and enjoy the (many) festivals, or just to go hang out on the lawn. It’s also the starting point for the Greenbelt, which is a great hike for just about anyone.

It is a gorgeous park that people go to just to lay out and read, listen to music, play Frisbee, or just hang out. The grass is gorgeous and its very relaxing to just go and lay under the shade of a tree. People often come here to take naps. A lot of events are held here year round!

For $12 per hour, you really can’t beat that price anywhere else. If you just want to go out on the lake in a canoe or kayak, then this is the place to go. It is a short ride up to the main lake, but it is very peaceful and you can see a lot of people tempting fate as they jump from the cross bridge. There can be a long line during the weekends so be prepared to be a little patient, but overall, I would recommend this to anyone.

MY DOGS LOVE THIS PLACE. IT’s huge, clean, and good for sports and running and dogs love it here. I totally love this place and would like to go back there again. Grass well kept. Friendly people, bringing their dogs, or playing ball games.
