ASO Tuneful Tales (formerly Children's Day Art Park) is a fantastic day out over the months of June and July at the Symphony Square Amphitheater, where kids and families can experience the magic of the arts.
As part of the Austin Symphony, various entertaining and captivating events are held across summer where kids can just immerse themselves in the arts, as well as get active and play out in the parks!
The programs offer a host of entertainment and activities for all ages. Kid can enjoy music from local musicians, or get inspired by the movements of the dancers.
How did he do that!? If you happen to see those quick magicians then you will be asking that exact question! There are fun mimes, and creative crafts people.
There is even a petting zoo! But...hang on...where are the sheep, and the ducks, and the cows? Oh, we know why - it's an INSTRUMENT petting zoo! Kids can get up close to different kinds of instruments, have a touch and have a play on them, to see what it sounds like. They might even be encouraged to pick up an instrument of their own!
They can talk to the symphony musicians, and hear them play right in front of them! They can enjoy a Latin jazz band, try their creative hands at various art projects at the Art Tent, or follow a real Pied Piper to the Magic Oak Tree! We wonder what's there!
So get out and take in the vibrant Austin air, and immerse kids in the wonderful world of the arts!
