About Science Museum of Minnesota

Science IS fun and kids can discover why for themselves at the Science Museum of Minnesota!

Founded back in 1907, this large regional science museum is located on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown St Paul, and is just filled with a host of exciting, fun and fascinating hands-on and educational exhibits for the whole family.

Millions of years of history comes to life in the Dinosaur exhibit, where kids can see a recreation of a hunting Allosaurus, witness an 82ft Diplodocus (one of the largest creature to have ever roamed the planet), and see one of only FOUR real Triceratops on display in the entire world!

Kids can get hands-on in the Experiment Gallery, where they can become a scientist for the day, conducting their own experiments and seeing what happens, and even learn what makes us tick in the Human Body gallery!

Put on a lab coat and use real lab equipment, and even see a REAL Egyptian Mummy - one of the most popular treasures in the entire Science Museum of Minnesota!

The Native American Exhibition is a wonderful way for kids to learn about Native American heritage, with objects on display showcasing stories from generations of Dakota and Ojibwe people who made their home in the region long before it was called Minnesota. Kids can learn the role of the bison in the communities, and see traditional canoes and clothing too.

The Science Museum of Minnesota features exhibit where kids immerse themselves in the fascinating world of math, explore the Might Mississippi, and so much more!

With special events too, this popular science museum is fun for kids and adults alike - now the biggest question is, just what will YOU discover when you visit?

It's exciting to find out, so let's go!
