Very beautiful and interesting artwork. But living in Louisville my whole life, I was used to free admission and parking. Needless to say, I was surprised to see admission go from free to $10. Plus, you have to also pay to park.

This is a little gem inside Louisville. The building is much bigger than it appears from the outside. There is an amazing array of art and sculptures from the ancient era all the way up to modern times. The staff is very friendly. I love to come here and soak everything in by walking around aimlessly.

The Speed’s collection offers something for every taste…spend a few minutes with Alice Neel’s “Priscilla Johnson” and you won’t be able to get it out of your head.If you have children (I have 3), ArtSparks is a must! There is simply no better way to spend a saturday morning than making art with your child and sharing the hands-on activities. The special events are always a treat. The staff is very accomodating of kids…the entire collection is very approachable.
