About General Butler Park

Kentucky is full of amazing places and surprises, and General Butler Park will surprise you because it's SO much more than a park!

There are a host of fun activities and adventures just waiting for families of all ages - are you excited to hear all about it? Let's go then!

Maybe you're an active family who love getting right into the thick of nature? General Butler Park has a 4.5 mile mountain biking trail for those skilled riders, or if you like to take it a little easier, there are two nature trails to stretch your legs on.

With a beautiful lake within the park, it would seem a shame to not enjoy it! Catfish, crappie and bass are just some of the fish you can catch on the 30 acre Butler Lake, and you can enjoy it all year round!

Spend a day on the lake in a canoe or rowboat, which are available seasonally at the Boat Dock, and pedal boating is a popular past time too.

General Butler Park also has a resort and camping which is always a popular option, because guests of the lodge can enjoy extra activities such as tennis and swimming.

You can also enjoy tours of the Butler-Turpin State Historic House if you are in the area from May to November. Kids under 6 are free so why not enjoy a bit more of the local history!

Nature, history AND camping are waiting at this beautiful Kentucky State Park. What are you waiting for?!
