If you LOVE nature, and LOVE gardens even more, than you might want to check out Yew Dell Botanical Gardens in Kentucky!
Yew Dell Botanical Gardens are all about gardening, nature, plants, and education - all found on a site with significant historical importance! You see, the home, gardens and nursery were all owed by Theodore Klein, but are now offering programs and events for families just like yours!
Yew Dell loves when families visit, so they have made sure that there are a wide variety of activities for kids, no matter what age.
The Backpacktivities are popular with those little ones, as these can be picked up from the Visitor Center and used on the grounds anytime - during any visit! These fun packs are filled with colored pencils, sketch pads, and even scavenger hunts. It's the perfect way for kids to have fun and explore the grounds!
Best of all - they are FREE!
The Book-N-Blanket Bags are also popular, as these are canvas tote bags that are filled with a blanket and nature themed children's books, so you can just relax out on the grass or in the shade and enjoy a book as a family!
Yew Dell also offer classes for kids every Saturday morning, which take advantage of the season and kids can enjoy nature walks, vegetable picking or planting, as well as crafts!
