About this activity

Ulster Museum at Botanic Gardens is filled with treasures from the past and present! It contains a collection of art, history and natural sciences in the bautiful Botanic Gardens. Discover new perspectives and come face to face with dinosaures, sailors and mummies.

There are many temporary exhibitons in the art galleries and there's always something new! The artowork represents the 18th century and contemporary period with lots of different mediums too.

The archaeology collection provides evidence of people and events in Ireland from the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age and Medieval periods. You'll see swords, gold rings, axes and more that all tell a story.

The natural science collection has marine life, insects, plants, animals, bird, mammals and more that have been found around Northern Ireland and from across the world. You can even see Ireland's only dinosaur bones!

The discovery centre offers exciting learning experiences for people of all ages and it's a great opportunity to get hands on with the fascinating collections. There are art, history and nature centres so whatever you're interested in, you'll find it here!
