About this activity
Showboats of Chester is a family-owned company with years of experience taking groups down the River Dee in Chester! Choose from lots of different boat trips and explore the stunning scnery and history of the area.
You can choose from a half hour city cruise or a two hour iron bridge cruise. The half hour city cruise is the perfect way to take in the River Dee and the history of Chester as you lsten to the stories of Chester's fascinating past and spectacular views.
They're just a short walk from the city centre and you'll head upstream under the Queen Park Suspension Bridge and throughout the suburb of Boughton. You'll follow the bends of the Meadows and admire the stunning riverside homes and gardens! You may even spot some kingfishers if you're lucky!
The two hour cruise takes you upstream of the city, through the Eaton Estate and the home of the Fuke of Westminster as you turn at the stunning Aldford Iron Bridge. You'll learn lots of history and facts on board too, and don't forget to ask them some question!
