Churnet Valley Railway allows you to step back in time and embark on a steam train journey that will get you to escape from the histle and bustle of modern life!
You'll climb on the stunning heritage carriages, based on traditional designs from the 1950s and you'll be transported through the countryside along the Cauldon Canala, whilst enjoying the beautiful views.
Your ticket allows you to travel on the 22-mile round trip to Ipstones and backs, and you can hop on and off at Froghall, Consall or Cheddleton along the way. It allows you to explore the local area before continuing your journey and there's lots to see too!
If you hop on at Consall, you'll be able to explore the nature reserves and join the many walking routes and get closer to nature. If you wanted to, you can also add on breakfast or cream tea to your journey too!
At Froghall station, the building is a replica of the old North Staffordshire Railway and there are beautiful views to enjoy here. At Cheddleton Station the stop contains locomotive sheds for you to visit where the trains are kept running. The volunteers will answer any questions you may have too!
Kingsley & Froghall station is on the A52 Stoke on Trent - Ashbourne road at Froghall, access is adjacent 'The Railway Inn' public house.
