About this activity

Spend the day with some of the most beautiful, weird and wonderful animals from all over the world at Colchester Zoo!

This popular zoo is home to over 160 species, across 60 acres of parkland and lakes, making it an incredibly beautiful setting to feel like you're travelling across the globe.

As you and the family navigate your way around the beautiful Colchester Zoo, kids will be able to see in person animals from Africa, Asia, Australia and beyond, in their many different habitats. Experience the humid habitat of their Komodo dragons, to Colchester Zoo's very own Africa plain! Have you ever seen White rhino, giraffes, ostrich, zebra and and kudu in person? Now is your chance!

Colchester Zoo also offers some really fun animal experience that will enhance your visit, including giraffe feeds - and there is something quite magical about that indeed!

A visit to Colchester Zoo is also a great place for kids to learn about conservation. They can hear about the zoos efforts in trying to look after our animals of the world, and see why its important to care for them.
