About this activity
Blue Owl is a pottery painting studio and they welcome all abilities and ages, from children to adults! There are a number of workshops to choose from that will unleash your creativity.
You'll need to book a table and then order your pottery online before your session and they'll have all the materials you need to create a masterpiece! If you can't make it it to the sessions, they also have some paint at home kits too!
They can also help you to make beautiful babyprints on your items to treasure for years and then can hold children's parties too and you can bring in your own food, cake and decorations to make it a birthday to remember.
If you wanted to get creative with clay, they run clay and painting workshops suitable for beginners too! Plus lots more workshops and courses where you can practice and develop your creative skills.
Onsite you'll find lots of refreshments and snacks to enjoy during your session too!

From A12 Northbound (south of colchester)
Leave the A12 at junction 26, then at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A1124 (signposted Halstead). At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Halstead Road (A1124 signposted Colchester). After 300m, turn left onto Halstead Road and continue forward onto Chitts Hill, follow the left hand bend and continue forward over the level crossing. Continuing forward on Chitts Hill, bear right onto Newbridge Hill and on into West Bergholt. Continue forward as the road changes to Lexden Road, and after 900m turn right onto Colchester Road (B1508). After 50m Blue Owl can be found on your left.

Blue Owl includes a free cup of tea or coffee or squash for all pottery painters and plenty of snacks on site!
Pottery painting is suitable for all ages. You can help babies and toddlers make hand and footprints keepsakes, pre-schoolers can paint with supervision and older children can paint themselves. It is a very enjoyable and relaxing activity for adults too!
Blue Owl’s gift shop sells a variety of gifts including greetings cards, scarves, jewellery, candles, toys, baby gifts, craft kits, gifts for men and much more!
