Chain Bridge Honey Farm was established in the early 1990s and is now the perfect place to discover first hand the extraordinary tale of bees and honey!
The honey house includes workshops and a very comprehensive visitor centre. Hive numbers are at 1,500 at present (with 2,000 the future target) and are located within a 40-mile radius of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Learn about constructing the buildings, making the beehives, modifying and installing machinery, beekeeping and preparation of honey and by-products! There's plenty to learn and enjoy no matter your age, so what are you waiting for? Head on down for a memorable day of fun.
The most popular display is the observation hive where a living colony of bees can be viewed behind glass. You might watch these fascinating creatures for hours, particularly if you embark upon a search for the queen! See the bees visibly bring in pollen on their hind legs and perform captivating dances as they 'speak' to each other. After this, head to their shop to browse their exciting range of products like honey or skincare! Why not treat yourself to something special?
