Beadnell Beach is a wide, sandy beach in a horseshoe shaped bay just south of the village of Beadnell. The glorious golden sand, curves around the bay forming a natural harbour. Enjoy browsing the beach and playing in the grassy sand dunes and fields beyond. The main attraction in Beadnell is its magnificent golden sandy beach, limekilns, small harbour, beautiful coastline, and views to the distant Cheviot Hills. As if the views weren't enough, the beach itself is a popular spot for swimming and also for many different types of watersports such as surfing, sailing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. In the town, there is a sailing club as well as shops where you can buy or rent water sports equipment. For more adventurous visitors, there are opportunities for snorkelling and scuba diving in the area!
The area also offers plenty of opportunities for walkers, so there really is something for everyone! It is part of the North Northumberland Heritage Coast and is within the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Cycling is particularly enjoyable in this area, with a variety of quiet country lanes and bridle paths, where the cyclist will find spectacular views to the coast, and Cheviot Hills in the distance.
