Clearly marked from the Alnwick/Berwick A1. Ignore first sign Chillingham/North Charlton and take the Chatton/Wooler road, a few hundred yards north of the Purdy Lodge/Bamburgh turn. At night, follow signs at Chillingham Village to Wild Cattle/Castle side entrance. They are clearly marked from the Newcastle/Wooler A697 (nearer to Wooler and also marked from Wooler). For a short cut from Alnwick to Chatton, take the Wooler road from Alnwick.
