Druridge Bay Country Park and Visitors' Centre includes 3.5 miles of beautiful beach and sand dunes, plus a large freshwater Lake surrounded by woods and meadows. The variety of surroundings means you are sure of an enjoyable visit whatever the time of year, so what are you waiting for? Head down for a fun and educational day out as you see lots of species and learn about the woods.
Take a pleasant walk around Ladyburn Lake, or enjoy a sheltered picnic overlooking the park. The lake is available by permit for non-motorised boats sports. As if this wasn't fun enough, windsurfing, canoeing and sailing courses are held each summer. So whether you want to browse and explore or do something adventurous, there really is something for everyone!
You can enjoy watching the birds on the lake and seashore, seeing the many wild flowers on the dunes and through the park meadows, or trekking across the beach and see what wonders lie on the rocks. Or for a more active activity, try your hand at flying a kite or take a dip in the sea.
The Visitor Centre has information and displays about the local area with a cafe and shop which is open at weekends and during the school holidays (access is suitable for wheelchair users). Just outside the visitor centre is a young children’s play
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A106, and you're 5 minutes away.
