Bark Endeavour is a boat trip with a Captain Cook theme that takes you from Whitby Harbour down the coast to Sandsend and back. The authentic replica of HMS Endeavour has been built by Whitby craftsmen and stands in the water and is around 40% of the ships original size.
You can join then for one of their regular sailing throughout the year were you'll follow the path of Cook himself and relive his life at sea.
You'll enjoy fantastic views of North Yorkshire's coastline with lots of geological features along the way to look out for including fossils, minderals and the famous Whitby Jet.
There's also plenty of wildlife too, including seals, dolphins and even whales! Hear about Captain Cook and his life and the history of Whitby as you set sail.
The staff are full certified on board and they can carry up to 46 people on the sea voyages. It's a popular attraction for holiday makers and educational visits and has even featured on some TV programmes too!
Sailing times start from 10am most days throughout the year and trips will take around 25 minutes in total. You'll get a 20 minute audio story about his life and discoveries and songs to sing along and stamp your feet to!
Approach Whitby from the North or South on the A171 and from the West on the A169.
You will find the Bark Endeavour Whitby berthed in Whitby Harbour at the Fish Quay, adjacent to the West Pier.
