We just arrived back home from our stratosphere experience and it was absolutely delightful. The only qualms I have are with the front desk line during check in that took around 45 mins to finally get room keys etc. We stayed in the select tower and had the perfect room for what we needed (not planning on spending our entire vacation in the hotel). We had clean sheets, clean towels, no bugs (we checked very well), and didn’t experience any of what others were complaining of on here. The level 8 pool and bar is awesome as well. They have very personable staff and the food is EXCELLENT. This was my favorite amenity the hotel offers. Of course this hotel won’t be Bellagio quality and sure it is at the end of the strip, but you get what you pay for. The price was perfect for us and my friends and I have no regrets staying here. I would definitely be back.

When we got to the hotel, we checked in and got our room keys, went up to our rooms, and noticed that we did not have rooms facing the Strip. (We had bought and paid for our rooms two months ahead of time to make sure we had a view of the Strip). When we went back down to the front desk, they told us we would have to wait until rooms opened up before they could switch us. Once we were switched to the rooms we reserved, everything was okay. We went to ride the rides on top of the hotel, and two of them were shut down, so we didn’t even bother with the rides. Overall, the rooms seemed clean. I didn’t have any complaints about them. The one thing I will say is that if you can afford a “fancier” hotel, I would go for that. The Stratosphere was okay, but I felt it was more of a basic, family oriented hotel than a nicer one. I have been to Las Vegas three times, and have stayed at the Golden Nugget (twice), the Luxor, and now the Stratosphere. I definitely recommend the Luxor and Golden Nugget, not so much the Stratosphere (even thought the best deals are sometimes offered through the Stratosphere).

This place is laughable. Got to our room late, fell asleep right away. Woke up the next morning (Saturday) and took a shower. Noticed there was a loofa sponge hanging from the shower head. No big deal. Sometimes things get missed. Grabbed a towel to dry off and there was a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. I was starting to wonder if my room was cleaned other than the sheets. Walked out of the bathroom and saw a black cloth under the small table in the corner of the room. Got a closer look and it was a pair of gnarly women’s underwear. Went downstairs to talk to the front desk and the line was a mile long. Went over to talk to Security to maybe bypass the line with some assistance from them. Instead, Security led us back to the room and, with a gloved hand, they put the gnarly panties in the bathroom trash and left. I took my son to eat, walked around with him for a bit, and caught a show. When we came back, the Registration line was pretty short so I decided to try and talk to the front desk again. They said that they could send Housekeeping up to my room again, but my argument was that Housekeeping had already been in my room twice and missed this. I wanted a different room. They were unable to help because they had no more rooms. We came back up to our room. It was late (around midnight) and the kiddo was done. After he fell asleep, I took the trash bag out with the panties, tied it up, and will present it to the front desk tomorrow. There are 3 plug-ins in this room, of which one is easily accessible. It is in the bathroom. There is a plug-in tucked behind the mattress and another behind the dresser/entertainment center. The lamp is glued to the dresser/entertainment center, right in front of the mirror, making the mirror useless. The view was a stunning view of air conditioning ducts and machinery. The lamp over the small table in the corner hangs from the ceiling. The chain isn’t long enough to run along the ceiling and down the wall so it is out of the way. It hangs at an angle across the chair and looks awful. The caulking around the sink is peeling and the place is just dated. I wish I could post pictures. Needless to say, I won’t be staying here again. If I could give zero stars, I would.

BED BUGS!!! BED BUGS!!! DON’T BOOK A ROOM HERE!! If you want bed bugs crawling on you then go ahead and book a room here on so called “newly renovated” rooms!! I was in Las Vegas two weeks ago with my friends and I booked a room here for 4 nights two months in advance because it was cheap. My flight arrived late so I was checking in around 11:30 in the night and they gave me “premium room” with city view. I go upstairs in the room and I noticed bed bug live crawling on the wall. I called the front desk immediately and they offered me to send someone with keys for a different room and I wasn’t going to wait so I went there to get it myself. I was offered upgrade by paying extra cost (really??) when I declined to go on same floor and similar room. I finally was able to get upgrade to their “deluxe” room (don’t let the name fool you) on a higher floor that they said were newly renovated. Sure enough room looked little better than the other one and had newer furniture and carpet but it looked like tile floor was never cleaned and there were hairs all over the bathroom floor. Beds were made and room appeared to be prepared by maid except he/she did not care to clean floor or vacuum carpet but just changed the sheets (hopefully) and put new towels. It was 1:00am so I decided to sleep and deal with it the next day after I checked my bed thoroughly for cleanliness and bed bugs. The following day I wanted to checkout and they wanted to charge me for that night too and finally they dropped resort fee (yes, they call it that to get extra money out of you) and charged me half for the night and let me go. Front desk person did not care when I said I was going to write about my experience. I am NEVER going back to this casino and I advise the same for those looking at my review.
