The main hanger is at the heart of the museums and there's plenty of exhibits to look round. In the Winter, the hangar provides shelter for the aircrafts and the summer the aircrafts will move outside, so there's always something interesting on display!
The against the odds exhibit explains the history and achievements of the Bomber Command and houses the famous 77 squadron room. There's a variety of short films here throughout the day for visitors to watch.
They have a Handley Page Halifax III which is the only one of its kind in the UK and there is a control centre which is at the heart of the museum. It was one of the first buildings to be restored by the volunteers and represents how the building would have looked in wartime.
There is a vast collection of pre-world war two arcrafts too and it's a great way to learn about early flight for all aviation enthusiasts. You'll also find cold war aircrafts, post world war two aircrafts and much more. Remember to bring your camera so you can take lots of pictures!
They have activiies and events at the museum, so make sure to check the website before you visit so you know what's happening when and where.
