Millennium Country Park is open every day of the year and is a 16 time Green Flag Award Winner, with 225 hectares of woodlands, grasslands and meadows to explore with the family.
Make sure to explore the sensory garden and find the dinosaur eggs and overlook the pond by sitting in your own wooden throne! Walk the bridge onto the meadows and bring a football or kite with you. You can explore deeper into the woods, watch the wildlife on the lake and much more.
The forest itself is 61 square miles and is surrounded by the suttning countryside of Bedfordshire. There's lots of good trails for walkers, cyclists and horse riders in this green space, perfect for all abilities!
Why not go check out the wind turbin which powers the forest centre and 1000 houses! It's over 120 metres tall so you won't miss it and it's fascinating to watch!
The Wetlands Trail takes you around the wetlands nature reserve which is the home of the bird hides, sand martin wall and Tower Hide and Woodland Walkway. This part of the Park is a haven for wildlife so no dogs or bikes are allowed unfortunatley!
Make sure to bring a picnic with you and some drinks as it's a great spot to have a picnic and watch the world go by.
