Marston Vale Forest Centre is a lively conservation centre, set in the spectacular Millennium country park, just a few minutes drive away from Milton Keynes and Bedford. The park and visitors centre are open all year round. And entry's free! With easy parking and trouble free access for everyone, the Forest Centre is a natural place for all your family to come and explore. They are planting trees and using woodlands to make life better for people and wildlife in the Marston Vale. Why not head there, check out all the amazing work they do, and take in the pretty views?
As if this wasn’t tempting enough, their Rectory Ramble guided walk looks and listens for blackcaps, nightingales, song thrushes, warblers and (hopefully) turtle doves on this guided walk around the Millennium Country Park! Why not go and check out what wildlife you can spot? Bring your own binoculars if you have them, but don't worry if not, as they have spares.
Or, join them for a 2 hour gentle stroll through Rectory Wood and Marston Thrift, looking at the ancient and new woodlands. They’ll be talking all things woods and forests – their role in the past, in their folklore, and their growing importance in our changing world.
For walkers and cyclists, they've got 8 km of traffic free, surfaced footpaths and cycle paths. There's no need to bring a bike, you can just hire one here! They've got a great adventure playground for your children to tackle and a charming wildlife garden everyone can enjoy. For riders there are 4 km of horse trails and plenty of room to box and un-box your horse in our large car park.
They have an exciting calendar of events for the whole family, all year round, such as Halloween events in half term, a Christmas Tree Festival and much more.
