Fancott Miniature Railway is a 7¼ inch railway located in the gardens of the Fancott public house in Fancott (near Toddington), Bedfordshire. It's the perfect place for a fun and memorable day out!
The track is laid in an oval with a triangular junction giving access to the two platform station and engine shed; there is also a separate steaming bay inside the oval. The track is approximately ¾ of a mile in length! Why not head there to enjoy a thrilling trai l ride?
In March 2019, they e purchased Davana, a 0-4-0 Stafford loco! There have been some teething troubles in getting the loco to perform well at the Fancott but now she's regularly pulling passenger trains. In July 2019 they added their Signal Box, which is located adjacent to the level crossing; this has given a home to their new signalling and point control panel, which will eventually allow the railway to be run from the signal box. There's plenty to see and take in and lots to learn, so its great for a fun and educational trip!
Go and see their small Teddy Bears, Dinosaurs and other attractions located around the railway too, and make a day of it.
At Junction 12 of the M1 take the turning for the B579 which is located directly on Junction 12 (Crossing the motorway bridge if applicable). At the end of the B579 turn left, approximately 100 yards you'll see the Pub and Railway on the left.
