If you wanted to get up close to Llama's then why not go Llama Trekking at Old King Street Farm! The charming and gentle animals will accompany your on a walk through the village of Ewyas Harold, which is set in the stunning scenery of the South Herefordshire countryside.
You won't ride the llamas, but you'll walk then on a lead rope. The staff will call the llamas into the penning area with a bribe, usualy a carrot! They're then fed and make sure they're ready to walk with you. They'll follow you on a gentle stroll and the staff will be there with you the all the way. You'll then head back to the farmard and the llamas are rewarded with some more food!
After your stroll, you'll head to the weaving studio where you can see how they spin and weave the llama wool on a large floor loom. You can then browse the gift shop for a souvenir!
All the llamas have different personalities too! Ringsbury is top dog and is the head of the heard and he easily influences the rest of the llamas. Long Meg is the decision maker but can become nervy so she doesn't trek. Moai is laid back and is charming and has a distinct white and black body! From the centre of Ewyas Harold and opposite the Temple Bar Inn, take the road signposted to Walterstone. The road leaves the village, bears sharp right and climbs a hill. The farm is on the left, half a mile from the village centre.
