About this activity

Berrington Hall is a national trust site and the Georgian mandion sits within beautiful gardens and landscapes. Discover the interiors and enjoy lots of walks through the parklands all year round.

Berrington Hall was build in 1778 for Thomas Harley and features stunning interior paintwork and the iconic Staircase Hall. As you walk through the rooms you'll learn more about the people who lived there and youll be able to see the victories of Admiral Lord Rodney through the four battle painting in the Dining Room. On the first floor there is A Dress Fit for a King exhibition where you can discover the original court mantua dress which belonged to Anne Harley in the 18th century.

The parkland contain two marked trails, which allow you to explore every corner of the estate, with notes along the way. You can choose the lakeside walk or parkland walk or a mixture of two where you can take in the sights of the Herefordshire countryside. The lake is a haven for wildlife with waterfowl, fish, insects and event otters! They're quite shy so remember to be quiet and you may spot one!

Outside you'll fly a children's play area with a den building area so you try and build the shelter! There's lots of play equipment too to run, jump and skip around. Inside the mansion there is a dress up station where you'll find historic skirts, hats and more.

There are also lots of school holiday activities at the site! Including an Easter trail with fun activity points so the whole family can get outside and you may even get a chocolate Easter egg to collect at the end!
