About this activity

The Children's Country House at Sudbury allows kids to have fun with history! Featuring a grand hall with over 12 rooms open to the public, museum and a garden filled with outdoor adventures, the kids will have a great time here!

There's always something to discover and learn on your trip here! It's designed for families and you'll explore the historic country home of the Vernon family in the hall, journey through childhood in the museum and hunt for the wildlife in the gardens.

Inside the hall you can check out the mystey rooms and help child evacuees escape and look at toys and childhood memorabilia too in the museum. The activy hub is also filled with crafts too for those who want to get arty!

You can experience the realities of life for children who had to work, venture down a Victorian mine tunnel and take on the chimney climb and crawl into the darkness! Use the giant jigsaw pieces to creat your own connections and fix them together and play with the doll's houses too.

Outside you can take a stroll by the lake and picnic on the grass, build a den and take in the views too! Tackle the grass maze throughout the summer and find your way out or build your own den! There's lots to do.
