Here's a fun fact for you. Did you know that The Cohanzick Zoo, established in 1934, is New Jerseys FIRST zoo? Pretty cool!

This popular zoo is located in the beautiful Bridgeton City Park, and set on 15 acres. When you visit, you get to meet all the animals that call it home, which approximately 100 animals. You know what else is cool about The Cohanzick Zoo? Admission is FREE! So everyone can visit and enjoy these creatures of the world.

Kids can come face to face with those grand grizzly bears, or see some exotic creatures from across the globe, including the African Serval. The adorable Fishing Cat is ready to say hi, or they can watch those cheeky primates play. Cohanzick Zoo is home to the Ring-tailed Lemur, as well the marmoset and white-handed gibbon. 

Have you ever heard of the Coati? The zoo is a great learning experience for a number of reasons, including meeting creatures you had never heard of before!

Cohanzick Zoo also host some great events across the year, so check them out online! These include the Halloween spectacular Boo at the Zoo, as well as KidsFest, and Festival of Lights!

The Cohanzick Zoo FAQ’s

Currently, there are no food concessions available in the zoo, but they do have a lovely picnic grove overlooking the scenic raceway that runs through the park, so why not pack your own lunch!

If you want to support the zoo even more, think about adopting an animal!

The zoo is a great place for kids to learn, so just call them about attending for a field trip!

Make sure you take plenty of bottled water to keep hydrated
