If you want an amazing animal experience in Delaware, 3 Palms Zoo is pretty special!
 
Did you know that 3 Palms Zoo is Delaware's ONLY Rescue Zoo & Education Center? That's pretty amazing, isn't it! They aren't your typical zoo that you might be used to. In fact, they are an education center where kids can experience not only the animals but that learning experience so valuable with it comes to that day out!
 
3 Palms Zoo will see you face to face with animals from all walks of life, from the exotic, to the wild and the domestic. Even agricultural animals - all in a natural woodland surrounding. Watch out for those chicken and geese roaming free on the grounds!
 
If the kids want a real hands-on experience, 3 Palms Zoo also offer hand feeding and petting experiences with the domestic animals which is always so much fun!
 
Can you imagine petting llamas, sheep, donkeys, pigs, ducks, mini pigs, and even tortoises and yes, an emu!
 
 
The wild animals you will see at 3 Palms Zoo are there because the are unable to be released into the wild, giving them the best chance at life. From turtles and groundhogs, to skunks, turkey vultures, canada geese, red foxes and screech owls, there are so many adorable creatures to meet. 
 
All of these creatures have their own habitat designed just for their needs, so you know they will be looked after well!
 
If it's exotic birds you want to meet, then get ready! Red jungle fowl, exotic pheasants, black sumatras, mandarin ducks...all in their aviaries. 
 
Make sure you make time for their grand attraction - Tick-Tock, Delaware's only Alligator!  
 
3 Palms Zoo are anything but a typical "zoo" experience, so why not say hi to the animals on your next family day out in Delaware. They would love to meet you!

Doing our bit

Some of the animals are cared for because they can't return to the wild, and their enclosures and specifically designed for each specie based on their breed.

Any top tips when visiting?

Admission Includes the 3 Palms Experience and bamboo to feed the animals! Additional bamboo is available for an additional donation. Always ask for assistance if you need more bamboo to feed the animals.

Teachers corner

If you do want to visit with the students, give them a call - they would be happy to have you!

Admission ends one hour prior to the zoo closing.
