It's time to go a little WILD in Wilmington at Brandywine Zoo, where over 120 species live and play on 12 acres of beautiful landscaped zoo enclosures.
Animals from ALL over the world are there to meet you, and give kids a fun, and educational family day out. From the tropics, to the Savannah, and everything in between, the species at Brandywine Zoo range from the common, to the endangered. This gives kids a real overview of our planet, what makes it special, and why we need to look after our wildlife!
Why don't we meet the animals at Brandywine Zoo?
Of course, mammals are hugely popular with kids, so let's start with those! Have you ever come face to face with an African Pygmy Goat, or seen the allure of the Amur Tiger? Maybe you might come across creatures you have never seen before - like the Capybara!
Kids can watch those cheeky river otters play, and see the beauty in the red pandas. Don't miss those sly Swift Foxes too!
Brandywine Zoo also has some amazing birds that come in all shapes, sizes and colors! From the common duck, to the sweet Burrowing Owl, to the amazing colors of the Red-billed Toucan...and of course, we're in the USA, so what would a day at a zoo be without seeing that grand American Bald Eagle!
Even the little creatures of the world are represented with the slinky green tree python, skinks and geckos. Even the honey bee is waiting to make new friends!
So why not have an animal-tastic family day out at Brandywine Zoo, and see that all creatures really are great and small!
