About Iron Hill Museum

The Iron Hill Museum, operated by the Delaware Academy of Science, is a fascianting day out for old kids who love to explore the earth, science, geology and more!

Filled with exhibits that cover a range of topics, it's a great learning experience!

Some of the exhibits that you will encounter can teach you how Iron Hill got it's name (any guesses, kids?), as well as an interactive touch wall which is always popular with those little ones. Ever wanted to feel what a turtle shell is like? Now's your chance!

At the Iron Hill Museum, kids can explore a cool collection of different colored rocks and minerals, as well as glowing minerals too! Who knew!

Iron Hill Museum also has an interesting taxidermy collection too, as well as prehistoric sea life. No dinosaurs, but plenty of mosasaurs!

A learning experience with some history thrown in too, kids can get excited about history, geology, our animals and our planet. Now THAT's a family day out!
