What family day out would be complete without dinosaurs, mammals, birds, nature, and education...oh yes, and a whole ton of FUN? Certainly not yours, because the Delaware Museum of Natural History is an amazing place for the whole family to visit.

Since all the way back in 1972, families have been excited, educated, and amazed by the exhibits in this museum which cover topics from the natural world, right through to discover and exploration.

There are special exhibits which change every year so there is always something new to see, but there are also permanent exhibits that will capture the attention of kids all day long!

The always popular Dinosaur gallery won't disappoint, with the ONLY dinosaurs that are on permanent display in the entire state! With towering skeletons ready for kids to get up close to, they can really see how amazing these giant creatures were!

The Hall Of Birds is great for bird lovers, with over 118,000 specimens and nests in it's behind the scenes areas, which they pull from for the permanent display. From the large Elephant Bird egg to that very sweet and small hummingbird...there are birds galore!

Animal Adaptions is a great exhibit to show kids what it means to destroy or change an animals environment, but shows how some of the animals can try and adapt - and eye-opening exhibit.

From a giant squid, to nature exhibits and a fluttery butterfly garden, your family day out at the Delaware Museum of Natural History will be filled with diverse topics to really fascinate.
