    Now, I am very glad that I didn’t believe the reviews that I read prior to taking my little girl to the Aquarium in September, 2014. We happened to be in Denver, traveling from a small town in Wyoming. I read the reviews prior to going and almost didn’t go. My daughter really wanted to, however, so we went. And we had a fantastic time! We went on a Sunday, right when the place opened at around 11:00 a.m., and we were pleasantly surprised to see everything as promised. It wasn’t crowded and we could stand in front of the aquariums for as long as we wanted to. My little girl was most anxious to see the “mermaids” and due to the negative reviews of this place, I had zero expectations but in reality, the mermaids delivered exactly as promised. They even wheeled them out after the show, in wagons to keep up the illusion, wearing Broncos t-shirts for pictures. Some reviews said that they didn’t see otters and that the fish that they did see were missing eyes etc. but we absolutely saw otters AND the fish were fine!The large aquariums had sea turtles, manta rays, sting rays, sharks, sawfish, all of the Finding Nemo fish…there were also tigers and birds in other displays…there was a place where we could touch real starfish and baby manta rays…and to top it off, the gift shop (that all parents dread) was actually very reasonably priced! Don’t let any negative reviews scare you away. My advice is to try and go at the time the place opens. You’ll be pleasantly surprised!

    Let’s start with the extremely RUDE hostess, we asked if we could sit closer to the fish. She threw a fit, threw the menus down and started slamming chairs and tables together. There was 9 of us, she tried to fit us on 2 tables, we asked for another table she threw a fit. I ordered the fish and chips, the fish was cold and tasted nasty (really fishy). We will not eat there again! On a good note the Aquarium was cool, my grand babies loved the mermaids. Then you go outside and the girl running the carousel was rude and unfriendly as well. Looks like they need to do some serious house cleaning and/or training!

    Absolute waste of $17 each ticket. You see more going to a local pet shop for free. What fish they had were sick, missing eyes and in terrible shape. I saw no otters, no tigers and no mermaids, as advertised. Nothing like going to a real aquarium in other cities, seriously it is like visiting a local mall pet shop, only there are vendors afterwards to ambush you for more money. From parking, events, movie, to food….expect to spend about $100 total and go home with an angry and disappointed family.

    Cara the rude girl at the ticket counter informed us (obviously rudely) that the coupon for being an email member must be printed out….ok so this is the only place not taking ecoupons….wait then I see all the lovely “conservation” information all over…so let me get this straight…your pitch is conservation, but you want everyone who comes here to print out a piece of paper for you to throw away…good plan…bravo! Oh wait then after you wait in line for 20 minutes, you get to wait in line again for 30 minutes while they force you to take a picture they want to charge you for later! Then finally you can get in the marginally decent aquarium..FUN!

    All was good until we got to the food place in second floor we are members and get free sodas well my grandma pay for a large soda and I told her we had free sodas so I requested a refund and they called Julio for approval he did not understand the facts of using 2 free sodas for the one grandma has grabbed he was so rude and non helpful I could believe how they were only for a soda refund. Really!!! They ruined our visit I will never purchase the membership again especially if I have to deal with people like them. Dont waist your money is a very small place and with rude people and super expensive
