About this activity

There's no reason you can't experience that amazing nature without leaving the city! City Park, located in the heart of Denver, is known as an urban park, and is a whopping 330 acres for you to explore!

The park itself it Denver's premier regional park, and not only has a host of activities that you can enjoy, but it is also home to Denver Zoo AND the Denver Museum of Science and Nature (which has an IMAX!)...so you're in for a fun filled family day!

City Park is great for those active kids, as there is not only a host of outdoor space to run around and play in, but there are specific activities that the whole family can enjoy.

Why not spend some time enjoying a spot of tennis on the tennis courts? Game..set...and match! There are those old classic horseshoes,  or perhaps you want to bring some kit down and enjoy a game of baseball, or football? Nothing like a fun bat or a kick around in the sun!

City Park also has two beautiful lakes that you can enjoy, and those little ones will love the two playgrounds that they can swing, climb, play and hide in!

Fancy spending some time as a family enjoying a lovely lunch? Great, because City Park has two picnic sites just for families like you who want to relax and take in the atmosphere as you tuck in.

There's no reason why you can't get a bit of history into your experience, with the historical monuments. A nice way to discuss the history of the city with the family, and get them interested in learning more.

A beautiful park within a city? Why not! Nature is calling...and it's calling your name!
