The Butterfly Pavilion is an interesting place to visit for many reasons. One reason it’s so special is because you can hold a real tarantula! Her name is Rosie. The next reason why is because you can also touch a bright red starfish. Another example why this place rocks is the cool aquariums full of insects, fish and turtles. The most wonderful part is the room full of all the beautifully colored butterflies. You should pay the pavilion a visit since it’s so great!(This was written by Mrs. Gluski’s 2nd grade class- we went in November of this year.)

This is a cool insect museum. Only takes about 2 hours to walk through. Kind of expensive. But if you have kids take them there at least once.

The Butterfly Pavilion is a nice place to visit if you have kids but not as entertaining for the adults. The price of admission was a little high. Don’t plan on spending the day at this place because there’s only about two hours worth of stuff to see. They could do with some more attractions.

Butterfly Pavilion Talking Points- Excellent exhibits and very informative staff. Trish was awesome! She took the time to show us her favorite butterflies (male bird wing & blue/banded morphos) and explained the differences between cocoons and chrysalises during our visit. – The butterfly release (while a little crowded) was fun and educational. – I can guarantee that a horseshoe crab doesn’t feel anything like what you’d expect.- Conquer your fear and let Rosie the Tarantula walk across your hand.
