White Clay Creek State Park has super fun year-round activities for the whole family. Start your trip at the Nature Center which host interesting and fun programs. You can also grab your free map of the trails!
Maybe you want to stroll under the full moon at Full Moon Hot Chocolate Hike? Or the very festive Snowflake Tea and House Tour. In December you can even have brunch with...you ready...SANTA!
During summer, the whole family can pack up a tasty picnic and enjoy a family lunch at the picnic tables, or spend some time on the lake and see if you can even catch your lunch! (We have faith in you!) Grab your binoculars as the area is great for bird-watching, or try your hand at disc golf!
If you love spending time out in nature, there are over 37 miles of amazing trails to explore! Try and find the historic sites, or enjoy the view at the scenic vistas which overlook amazing rock outcrops and lush valleys. Mountain bikers and hikers can enjoy trails around Judge Morris Estate, or Possum Hill - as well as the other scenic trips.
Winter time? Don't let that stop you! Sledding and cross-country skiing are just some of the super fun winter activities that you and the family can enjoy at White Clay Creek State Park.
So turn off those TV’s, and really enjoy the incredible Delaware nature! Don’t forget your camera!
The park office is located at 750 Thompson Station Road in Newark. The Nature Center is located at 1475 Creek Road. Make sure you check with the Nature Center first because some portions of Creek Road are no longer available to vehicles.
Get directions$3 per day for Delaware vehicle. $6 for out-of-state.

The park offer great home school science classes, as well as great sessions that cover topics like survival, geology, animals, as well as Explorer Programs!
