Brockholes Nature Reserve is set in 250 acres of beautiful nature reserve with lots of spectacular wildlife to see, events and activities to get involved in and lots more for the whole family.
The reserve is located just off the M6, and is full of nature moments for you to discover. Take a walk along the River Ribble, explore ancient woodlands or amble and have a stroll around the lakes. The area is brimming with different wildlife including bright coloured dragonflies, froglets, butterflies and of course the colourful wildflowers.
There are hides, paths and viewing points which have been designed to get visitors closer to nature without disturbing it. Dont forget to head to the floating Visitor Village too, which has a lakeside cafe and shop.
You'll also find a children's play area with lots of equipment for the little ones to burn off some energy and the paths all have wheelchair access too.
Bring the whole family, get out and explore and see what you can find! It's the perfect opportunity to get closer to nature.
